From year 1985 to 2022, Aloshikha had been running 41 pre-schools in different parts of the Barishal, Gopalganj and Madaripur district. At present there are 30 pre-schools in place from 2023 to ongoing. 11 schools have been phased out because the implication of the pre-school have been come to an lower extent. According to provision of the project, every pre-school has 30 children each. Now 900 children are being enrolled at present at these 30 schools. After completion of one year pre-school schooling, the children are facilitated to get admission into government primary schools in class one. The children are imparted elementary education with different extra-curricular activities. The children are taught in a joyful environment. The extracurricular activities include singing, dancing, annual sports, educational tour, etc. In terms of nutrition children are given nutritional food once a month. Besides mother are also taught how to prepare nutritional food at home.
Besides monthly parents meetings are also conducted in each school where mothers attend the meeting. The parents meeting discuss about the performance of the children and other child rights and different issues of the society such as Child abuse, early marriage, dowry, child labor, trafficking and related issues. However, the children also get free medical checkup and quality sanitation & hygiene messages.
